This policy explains how the arthursmith.dev website (the "Website") and all macOS apps published under the Arthur Smith brand (the "Apps") handle your data. The short version: the Apps collect nothing, the Website only uses analytics if you opt in, and payments are handled entirely by our payment providers.

2. Our Apps Collect No Data

The Apps process everything locally on your Mac. They do not collect, store, transmit, or share your text, usage data, or any personal information. There are no accounts, no tracking, and no ads. Your data never leaves your Mac.

3. Website Analytics

The Website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, but only after you give consent through the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. The data collected (such as pages visited, browser type, and approximate location) is aggregated and cannot be used by us to identify you. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) that persist for up to two years, and the data is processed by Google, which may transfer it outside your country.

4. Fonts

The Website serves all fonts from its own domain. Your browser makes no requests to Google Fonts or any other third-party font service.

Purchases are processed by our merchants of record, Gumroad or Paddle, under their own privacy policies. We never see or store your payment card details. The payment platform may share basic order information with us (such as your email address and the product purchased) so we can provide support and deliver updates.

If you email us, we use your address and message only to respond to you. We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not share your address with anyone.
